Vince McMahon Reportedly Furious Upon Ric Flair Making TNA Debut

According to the Pro Wrestling Torch Newsletter, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was reportedly furious when he saw a video of Ric Flair making his TNA Wrestling debut on January 4th - the first time that TNA's iMPACT! went head to head with RAW. The story goes that he was shown a video of him making his debut and then McMahon proceeded with throwing down his headset (McMahon executive produces RAW) and then kicked it. Apparently, even though it was heavily rumored everywhere, McMahon didn't expect him to make his debut with the company and was angry about the whole situation to say the very least.

Randy Orton Comments on Helms/Jericho, Legacy at NBA Game, More

Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes are scheduled to appear at tonight's Atlanta Hawks basketball game in Atlanta to promote Sunday's Royal Rumble pay-per-view. - Independent wrestler Chasyn Rance will be appearing on the new season of Tool Academy on VH1. The show debuts on Valentine's Day at 9PM. - TMZ cameras caught up with Randy Orton at an airport yesterday and asked him about the arrests of Chris Jericho and Hurricane Helms. Orton seemed legitimately surprised at the news and claimed he didn't know anything about either of them being arrested. The TMZ reporter talked about how WWE stars are always getting in trouble and Orton said, "We represent the WWE in a very positive manner. Getting in trouble isn't positive now, is it?"

They mentioned that The Undertaker will be defending his World Heavyweight Title against Batista. If this is the case, then it is apparent that Undertaker will defeat Rey Mysterio this weekend at the Royal Rumble. Just thought I would pass this along.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's "Tooth Fairy" Off To Disappointing Start

Tooth Fairy starring former WWE performer Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson earned an estimated $14.5 million for fourth place at the box office this weekend. By comparison, The Game Plan opened with $22.9 million in its opening weekend while Race to Witch Mountain started with $24.4 million. Hence, Tooth Fairy marks as the worst opening weekend performance of Johnson's career in the family genre. The film opened in 3,344 theaters and was the second highest-grossing new release of the weekend, behind Legion, which opened with $18.2 million. Tooth Fairy reportedly cost $48 million to make

It would appear that the latest D-Generation X run is coming to an end as Shawn Michaels said during an interview with the KISS-FM radio station out of San Antonio this past week that DX will "probably disband" following the Royal Rumble so they can focus on their respective matches at WrestleMania. When asked if he had any plans on retiring, Michaels said: "Well, that's always the million dollar question. I'd like to go on record as saying I have been trying to retire for the last three years... [WWE] makes it very difficult, you know, Vince McMahon is nuts. I try to walk away then WrestleMania comes up, they put me in a match, I do well, and [Vince] doesn't make it very easy." Also it would appear that he had zero input in selecting matches for WWE's upcoming DVD release on him, Shawn Michaels: My Journey. He responded with the following: "They found my 25 greatest matches?" It had been rumored that Michaels would handpick his favorite twenty-five matches of his career for the DVD release

News On Scott Hall’s TNA Future

More than one source within TNA is claiming that the roster enjoys having Scott Hall around, despite the problems hes caused for company management. Hall has a reputation for being very generous with his knowledge when talking with younger wrestlers, and there has been serious talk of testing the waters with Hall as an agent. One main event-level TNA star has been very vocal about Hall being qualified for the job, citing his creative input during his WWF and WCW days.
For those unaware, the road agent job is to work with the roster in setting up matches and storylines, and relaying instructions to them from the creative team. Road agents in WWE and TNA are usually retired wrestlers, such as Arn Anderson, Terry Taylor, Ricky Steamboat and Jerry Brisco.
With reports coming out after TNAs Genesis PPV that Hall and Sean Waltman are both relying heavily on pain pills, the duos future as on-screen talent in TNA is still up in the air.

Will The 6-Sided Ring Return?, TNA Talent Not Happy Backstage

As of now there are no plans to bring back the six-sided ring, even for specialty events like the Lockdown PPV. TNAWrestlingNews.com/eWrestlingNews.com is reporting that the idea of bringing it back occasionally was discussed but ultimately shot down. Fan reaction to the change on Sunday night was initially a loud negative. There were loud chants of 'We Want Six Sides' during Hogan's opening promo at Genesis. That caused him and Bischoff to go off-script by saying it was to damn bad if they didn't like it and that it was here to stay.TNAWrestlingNews.com/eWrestlingNews.com is also exclusively reporting that some fans at ringside Sunday night were warned by a Universal Studios employee named Bernadette about not being negative towards the show, and asked to watch their language. This came after the fans turned their backs on Sean Morley's win over Daniels, and chanted "porn star" during the match. These fans decided to sit in the bleachers for tonight's tapings instead of ringside where they would normally be, in order to "show TNA the difference." Several Universal employees, of which the aforementioned Bernadette was one, addressed the crowd before the start of today's tapings, asking them to behave and stay in line with the tapings. No word yet on how the fans reacted.For those who may have missed it earlier, the TNAWrestlingNews.com website obtained some wild video of TNA Knockouts Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne a drunk mess dancing, stripping, and kissing on a bar. Some speculated that because WWE would not want to use a wrestler in the wake of a public indictment, Hardy?s only real option was TNA?any interest he had in the company was amplified. According to a source, however, the idea that WWE did not want Hardy could not be further from the truth. Sources say WWE officials were in constant contact with Jeff Hardy on January 5th with the hope that he would change his mind and return to WWE. WWE?s apparent interest in overlooking the PR backlash of bringing Hardy back is being taken by some as an indication that the company is not totally writing TNA off as irrelevant. TNAWrestlingNews.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY that former WWE performer Ken Anderson (a/k/a Mr. Kennedy) will be debuting with TNA Wrestling next week, according to company sources. According to our source, Anderson will either debut at Sunday's Genesis as the 'Major TNA Wrestling Superstar Acquisition' teased on Thursday's iMPACT!, or he will debut at the following night's television taping. Current plans call for Anderson to debut at Genesis, but should the company decide to hold out, he will debut at the following evening's television tapings. -- TNA president Dixie Carter noted on her Twitter that TNAWrestling.com will be relaunched this weekend. This will be the website's first major overhaul since 2005.-- TNA Women's Knockout Champion ODB is this week's special guest on Live Events Center. Tyson mentions being a wrestling enthusiast since he was 12, and that he always wanted to be like Bruno Sammartino. He also says he owes Vince McMahon for life for letting Tyson's son join him and DX in the ring at the end of the show. He almost breaks down in tears while discussing that.-- WWE's two week battle with TNA Wrestling and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is over and Monday Night RAW held strong in the cable ratings. RAW went head-to-head on consecutive weeks with special programming on SpikeTV. Last week (1/4), Bret Hart's reutrn to WWE RAW helped RAW earn a 3.6 cable rating against TNA's 1.5 cable rating (1.3 for the final 2 hours that challenged RAW). On Monday (1/11), WWE RAW featuring the return of Mike Tyson saw increased viewership from the previous week, doing a 3.7 cable rating with 5.5 million viewers. "UFC Fight Night 20" on Spike TV earned a 1.2 cable rating with an average of 1.7 million viewers.The show peaked with 2 million viewers for the Gray Maynard vs. Nate Diaz main event. In the end, it looks like good news for all parties involved. WWE RAW did above-average viewership both weeks - while at the same time, TNA and UFC both drew healthy audiences
